Overview
A wine lover’s dream trip! Niagara is known for many things, and one of those things is that it is the home to some of the best wines in the world. This beautiful destination began transforming its landscape over 30 years ago and is now home to 26 wineries. Travelling Chicken would like to take you behind the scenes to share with you some of the most unique wineries that the city has to offer.
For three weekends in January the Niagara region is transformed into wintery wonderland, celebrating one of Canada’s most cherished products, Ontario Icewine. Festival is the perfect place to celebrate the upcoming winter season and the incredible Ice wine harvest in Niagara.
Join our trip to Ice Wine Festival in Niagara region. Your Discovery Pass is the key to wine and culinary adventures (eight in total) across Niagara. Your best dessert experience? Shattering the crisp sugary top of Crème Brûlée! Created by August Restaurant featured on “You Gotta Eat Here”. Their twist? Adding succulent roasted sweet potato layered with subtle cardamom which is seductive with award-winning Vidal Icewine.
3) Vineland Estates Winery
Savoury Winter Chocolate Stew!
Chocolate, when used in rich meat medleys like our venison stew will always enhance the rib-sticking savoury nature of this winter warmer. Topped with a fresh mustard biscuit and paired with our Cabernet Merlot completes the cozy culinary blanket.
4) Hernder Estate Wines
"Let them eat Cake!"
Enjoy a sinfully decadent vanilla bean cake pop engulfed in a robe of dark chocolate. Gold leaf sprinkles add to the indulgence. Served alongside award winning Cabernet Franc Icewine brimming with aromas of strawberries and red cherries.

A Harvest of Land & Sea
We are proud to showcase Canada's bounty with this pairing of our 2015 Vidal Icewine and Late Harvest Cured Salmon Wellington with Dried Apricot and Chili Preserve from their culinary partners at Queen’s Landing.
6) Konzelmann Estate Winery
Fire & Ice
Tide & Vine prepared Lobster Bisque with a hint of spice served with our Gold Medal winning Vidal Icewine.
7) Inniskillin Wines
Back by Popular Demand!
Chicken and Waffles! A fluffy sweet waffle topped with crispy seasoned fried chicken with Estate Chef Tim MacKiddie's secret Icewine inspired sauce paired perfectly with our Riesling Icewine; a treat that will warm your heart this season.
8) Pillitteri Estates Winery
Braised Duck Grilled Cheese and Icewine
Enjoy a decadent Grilled Cheese stuffed with Braised Duck, Bartlett pear and Cambazola cheese with an Onion and Icewine infused jam. Paired with award winning, barrel aged Reserve Vidal Icewine.
